First to Queluz Royal Palace (closed Mon). On to Sintra (World Heritage Site), where walk through the historical centre, guided visit of Royal Palace (closed Wed ).

Drive to Fátima. Time at the Shrine to visit the Chapel of Apparitions, the Basílica of Our Lady of the Rosary and the new Churh of the Holy Trinity.

On to Batalha (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the finest gothic building in the country. Continue to Alcobaça, famous for its 12th century Monastery.

To Évora (UNESCO World Heritage site), the ancient capital city of Alentejo. Walking tour of the walled city visiting the Roman Temple, Cathedral, University, and St. Francis Churh.

On to Vila Viçosa, land of Marble quarries and of the Bragança Family Palace, the Portuguese Royal Family from 1640 to 1910. Possible to visit the Palace, before heading back to Lisbon.
